So I went to the peace march in DC a couple of weeks back, and it was BLOODY AMAZING. Somebody had a photo pool on Flickr, here, and I decided to make a few icons. All photos, signs, & witty sayings belong to someone else.

Notes:
[1] Someone had a huge box full of shoes, each with the name, age, and cause of death of an Iraqi child attached to it. This is a pair of those shoes.
[22]&[23] Same sort of idea, only it was a pair of boots owned by a US soldier prior to his death.
[29] This is a reference to the White Roses, I believe, an anti-war group in Germany in the 1930's. Very powerful statement.
[34]&[35] Saw these on signs, but they wouldn't make legible icons, so I tried to reproduce them as faithfully as I could.

First post in the new icon journal, omgyey!

These are my "Religious Left" icons, quotes mostly taken from the wonderful Sojourners and TurnLeft.com. Some were taken straight from products and edited to fit icon size, but most are my own design. There are also a couple of cute fluffy bunny bases and a bunch of random rainbow icons.
